The new site is moving along nicely...slowly...but nicely. Currently I’m setting up a proof of concept data center in my garage. I’m trying to pickup spare parts from ebay or around town whenever possible to build a fully featured data center. Granted its not going to be the fastest thing moving, but it will run some of the latest concepts and technologies. The plan is to building an Ideal Infrastructure, and then upgrade the individual components when possible.

I have successfully implemented a pfSense firewall which is just fantastic and provides just about everything any other high end firewall on the market can provide. This component of my data center will probably not be upgraded later as its running well and have enough power to support a good amount of computers.

The next is the Network Attached Storage...the idea is to build one massive and redundant storage server to provide high speed storage space to various servers. In conjunction with this is the domain/dns server...but this is a simple install...just need the parts :-)
